The peated-sherried style is rather evident, but also showing the fruity side. The briny, costal notes seemed to be missing here (probably not matured at site)

Nose: Pleasant. Used leather, burnt wood smoke, rubber (tire), canteloupe, heather pollen, candle wax, honey, ripen orange and a bit of lemon.

Taste: The body had certain depth and weight, being lightly oily but not bold and powerful. Also lacking the potential of development.
Lightly Sweet arrival, with mineral, peat smoke, oxidised sherry notes and candle wax. Lightly peppery on tongue. Ended up with mild medicinal bitterness

Finsih: Long. A cresendo of smoke (burnt wood, bacon) was evident, along with notes of kippers, honey and cardboard

• Nose: Vanilla leads to mountain of peat with citrus fruits and clouds of sea spray.
• Palate: Sweet vanilla counterbalanced with lemon and lime followed by that surging Ardbeg smoke that we all know and love.
• Finish: Long and glorious; sea salted caramel and beach bonfire smoke.
