Product Description

A glorious and curious single malt Scotch whisky from the Benromach Distillery's Contrasts series, showcasing Cara Gold malted barley. It's a lightly roasted style of barley, which has been paired with Benromach's lightly peated malt, and matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. The result is a richly fruity, creamy, satisfying single malt.

 

Nose Lychee, Biscoff biscuits, melted butter, a smidge of perfumed barley.

Palate Creamy butterscotch, grapefruit, orange, delicate oaky smoke, a touch of peppercorn.

Finish Sweet smoke and runny caramel.

  • Nose: Hints of oak and vanilla creme brulee leading to generous caramelised fruits and polished oak.
  • Palate: Sweet and concentrated start with some jammy blackcurrant fruitiness. A big palate with spice and fruit.
  • Finish: A crisp finish with cocoa, dark chocolate and a mildly smokey aftertaste.
